A scholarship program is available at UWM for first-year overseas students who have recently been accepted to the university. Academic merit and the candidate’s diversity are taken into consideration while making scholarship grant decisions (i.e. how the candidate contributes to the diversity of UWM). The scholarship awards can be renewed on an annual basis and have a maximum value of $5,000 per academic year ($2,500 per semester) (for a maximum of four years total).

On a monthly basis, financial aid in the form of scholarships is distributed to students studying in other countries. Newly admitted students will be informed of their prizes as soon as decisions are made, and scholarships will continue to be given out until all of the available funds have been distributed. Students should be admitted no later than May 1 to be eligible for full consideration for a grant for the upcoming fall semester, and no later than October 1 for the upcoming spring semester. Please take note that in order to be considered for this scholarship, applicants must have been accepted into a bachelor’s degree program at UWM.

About the Scholarship:

The Institution of Wisconsin–Madison, which was founded in 1848, is a public research university that is widely recognized for being the biggest and the oldest university in the state of Wisconsin. Additionally, it was the first university to become a part of the University of Wisconsin System. In addition, the university is working along with organizations such as the AAU, BTAA, APLU, WUN, and URA. When it first started offering classes, there were just seventeen students enrolled. At the moment, there are 45,317 students enrolled in it. In addition to that, the university is well-known for its arboretum, which is situated on the grounds of the campus. In addition to serving as a facility for research and education, it is also a historically significant location for ecological restoration. The location first opened its doors in 1932 and currently occupies a total of 120 acres of land. The Association of American Universities may count Wisconsin University as one of its founder organizations.

The campus can be found right on the water’s edge of Isthmus Lake. This is the primary campus, which covers a total area of 936 acres and may be found here. Arthur Peabody and JTW Jennings are responsible for its planning and construction. The campus was recognized as one of the most attractive university campuses in the United States of America in the year 2012. Bascom Hall, Van Hise Hall, Grainger Hall, Music Hall, Humanities building, Dejope Hall, and the Wisconsin Union Hall are just few of the significant buildings and halls that can be found on the campus. WSUM 91.7 FM, the university’s own own radio station, can be found broadcasting from within the grounds of the campus.

The university provides education at the undergraduate level, the postgraduate level, and the doctoral level through its many degree programs. These programs offer a number of classes that cover a huge range of topics throughout their curriculum. The research program has a period of four years, and it is affiliated with around thirteen educational institutions across the country. Engineering, agriculture, education, business, media, legal studies, and medical studies are some of the primary subject areas that are covered by the degree programs. A report that was generated in 2019 indicates that there were around 31,185 students who enrolled in the undergraduate degree program. In addition, the institution is home to around one hundred research centers and courses that cover subject areas such as agriculture, the arts, and engineering. As a result of Wisconsin’s university being recognized as having one of the strongest research programs, it has moved up to the third spot on the list of the best universities in the state.

Don Ameche, who won an Academy Award, Joseph Anthony, who is an actor and director, Rick Berman, who is a film producer, Tom Hall, who is a game designer, Paul D.
