The Ferry Scholarship was established as a result of a bequest left by the late Cedric Arnold Seth Ferry with the intention of encouraging further study and research in the scientific fields of either physics or chemistry. It is the intention of Public Trustee, in its capacity as trustee of the Cedric Arnold Seth Ferry Trust, to make The Ferry Scholarship available to students in the year 2023 who will be pursuing studies at the Honors level.

Scholarship Offer:
- The Ferry Scholarship Board will decide how much money will be allotted for the scholarship (or scholarships), which may be as much as $8,000.
Eligibility for Scholarship.
- Students attending Flinders University, the University of South Australia, or the University of Adelaide in 2023 who are enrolled in an Honors degree or a program with equal requirements are eligible for consideration for the Ferry Scholarship. In order to be eligible for this grant, applicants must be Australian citizens, be under the age of 25 on January 1, 2023, and be able to provide proof that they are in financial need. Applicants have to meet the requirements to be accepted into an Honors degree program in 2023.
- Applicants are required to either already possess an undergraduate degree or anticipate that they will earn one in 2022 with a major in either physics or chemistry.
- The Ferry Scholarship Board plans to award scholarships to a maximum of six deserving students sometime in the early part of 2023. The selection is made mostly on the basis of academic merit and the candidate’s demonstrated financial necessity.
