Texas A&M University offers scholarships and financial aid annually to the local and international students who aim to further their education and be one of the future leaders of the modern generations. High achiever students that can demonstrate their academic merits are one of the priorities of these scholarships and awards. The undergraduate who will be commencing their higher education for the academic year of 2022-2023 can now start their applications.

The University Academic Scholarships and Awards 

The international and local students who will be commencing their undergraduate degree can now start their application for the Scholarship and Financial Aid program offered by Texas A&M University. Interested students can apply for all university-level scholarships via the ApplyTexas app or coalition app provided by the university. Students are required to submit a Self-Reporting Academic Record (SRAR) to be considered for undergraduate scholarships. The application deadline for the fall scholarships is December 1, 2022.

Academic Scholarships 

The competitive four-year Texas A&M University academic scholarships are offered by Scholarships and Financial Aid. This award is only available to freshmen who have been accepted for the fall. The university scholarship office will notify the selected students of the scholarship proposal in February of their high school year. Each scholarship will include a $1,000 one-time stipend to be used for a Texas A&M-approved study abroad program.

  • Presidential Endowed Scholarship
    -$3,000 annual awards to up to four years
    -The students must be able to maintain their GPR score of 3.5 overall.
  • Lechner Scholarship
    -$2,500 annual awards to up to four years
    -The students must be able to maintain their GPR score of 3.5 overall.
  • McFadden Scholarship
    -$2,500 annual awards to up to four years
    -The students must be able to maintain their GPR score of 3.5 overall.

Eligibility

Interested students must be able to meet the eligibility criteria of the scholarship to be considered for the Academic Scholarship and Financial aid.

To be able to provide scholarship opportunities to as many students as possible, Texas A&M does not collect academic scholarships. If you are qualified for more than one scholarship, the university scholarship office will only offer you the highest value of the scholarship.

Scholarship Duration

The Scholarship Duration will be awarded to up to four years, the recipient of the awards must be able to maintain and meet the requirements to maintain the awards.

Application Process

Interested students can apply at the university’s online application portal or to the Coalition App. Students are required to complete the admission process for the scholarship portion to be considered, SRAR or Self Reported Academic Records must be submitted for the freshman undergraduate students’ scholarship consideration.

Scholarship Deadline 

The deadline for the scholarship application is until December 1, 2022.

Note  If the deadline is on a weekend, applications will remain open until 11:59 PM (CST) the following Monday.

Academic Achievement Scholarship

  • Presidents Achievement Scholarship
    -$2,500 annual awards to up to four years
    -The students must be able to maintain their GPR score of 2.55 overall.
