Scholarship details
Candidates who are successful in their application for the Dean’s Award for Enterprise scholarship will receive 90 percent of the total cost of tuition fees for any master’s program at Loughborough University London that is attended on a full-time basis.
The purpose of this scholarship is to incentivize applicants with an entrepreneurial mindset to come up with novel ideas for businesses in order to be considered for a tuition fee scholarship that covers 90 percent of the total cost of attendance. Successful scholarship applicants will have access to the Loughborough Enterprise Network (LEN) Start-up Fund, bookable business advice sessions with our Entrepreneur in Residence, and will be encouraged to participate in the FFWD pre-accelerator program. This is in addition to the support and activities that are offered throughout the year by our careers and employability team and the Loughoughborough Enterprise Network.
About the Scholarship:
It is possible to trace the roots of Loughborough University all the way back to a little technical institute that was established in 1909. At its founding, Loughborough University of Technology was dedicated entirely to the teaching of technical subjects, such as science and art. The current name of the university was officially adopted in 1996. At this time, the institution is home to over 35 professional services and teams, in addition to 22 academic schools and departments, more than 100 research groups, institutes, and centers, and over a dozen research centers. The campus of Loughborough University is the largest single-site green campus in the United Kingdom, and it is widely regarded as the best in the nation for sports. At the beginning of each semester, the International Office throws a welcome party for incoming international students.
The purpose of the party is to familiarize these students with campus life and the several essential departments. There are also pre-sessional English sessions that last for 10 weeks and are offered prior to the beginning of the semester. Times Higher Education has recognized Loughborough University as having the best student experience in the United Kingdom for each of the past 10 years. Additionally, the QS Stars Scheme has awarded the university a rating of 5 stars for its level of internationalization. According to a survey conducted by Lloyds Bank, it is also the top educational establishment in the United Kingdom in terms of the quality of student life, and it has been named “University of the Year” for Sport in the past. Following the publication of the 2014 Research Excellence Framework, the proportion of Loughborough University’s research that is considered “world-leading” increased by 37 percent, placing the university among the top ten universities in the United Kingdom in terms of research quality. Loughborough University and the University of Oxford are the only two universities to have ever been awarded the prestigious Queen’s Anniversary Prize seven times, each for their extraordinary contributions to applied research.
The university grounds span an area of 440 acres and are situated in the center of Loughborough in England. Large lecture halls, a well-stocked library, well-equipped laboratories, an extensive information technology network, a conference center, superb housing, and the Loughborough Students’ Union are all part of the campus’s world-class infrastructure, which also includes the Loughborough Students’ Union. A former race engineer for Rob Smedley, Paula Radcliffe is now the Head of Vehicle Performance for the Williams Formula One team. Prior to that, she worked for Smedley. Malcolm Sayer is a well-known designer who works in the automotive and aviation industries. Rosalind Ayres is an actress who has achieved a high level of notoriety in the United Kingdom. Tanni Grey-Thompson was a competitive wheelchair racer in the past, but these days she works in television and is a politician in Wales. Clive Woodward, a former player for England’s rugby team, later became the squad’s head coach and was in charge from 1997 to 2004. The university has been connected with a plethora of other well-known names throughout its history.

Maynooth University offers departmental doctoral scholarships. New PhD and PhD-track students must have a relevant first-class or 2.1 honors in their primary degree or a relevant Master’s degree in order to be eligible for the Department’s scholarship program in October 2022 or as otherwise agreed. This program is not open to students sponsored by other sources.

- You must be an applicant to a postgraduate programme at Loughborough University London and have either a conditional or an unconditional offer to study a full-time master’s programme at Loughborough University London in order to be eligible to submit an application for the award. When the application dates for this scholarship, which are for admission in 2022, have been confirmed, they will be included here.

Individuals who are dedicated to making positive contributions to society are encouraged to submit applications. You need to demonstrate that you have a complete awareness of the costs associated with postgraduate study and explain why you have a strong motivation to study the program that you have chosen. You should also show that you have the initiative to be able to collect finances in order to meet the remaining tuition charge and any other fees that are related with your education. Candidates who have been shortlisted will be required to participate in a brief video interview.
- The scholarship will take the place of any other bursaries or scholarships from Loughborough University that may have previously been awarded to the successful candidates, and it is only open to offer holders with Loughborough University London.
