About the Great Minds Initiative
The Great Minds Initiative is a 3-6 month internship competition at one of IBM’s research labs in Zurich, Nairobi, or Johannesburg for students from Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. It offers students a unique opportunity to work with world-class scientists at the industry’s leading IT research organization.
Great Minds internships will take place in 2023. Selected students will define the exact start time and duration on an individual basis, considering their academic commitments and the availability of IBM employees.
IBM Research Has been teaching Great Minds courses for more than ten years. The experiences on both sides have been very positive. This program also benefits faculty members when Great Minds laureates provide their universities or departments with valuable information on real industry issues, advanced IBM technology, and IBM Research contacts.
Great minds and good ideas are the engines of innovation. In keeping with its close ties to universities, IBM is seeking the best brains and the hottest IT and social challenges for internships at IBM Research. You can do an internship at one of IBM’s research labs in Zurich, Nairobi, or Johannesburg.
