Scholarship details
The family is what inspired Robert and Debbie to establish the Robert and Debbie Amezcua Scholarship which provides financial support to outstanding engineering students. This is for students studying in University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). This scholarship’s advocacy is to share Debbie and Robert’s fortunate life by supporting students to be successful through education and good health.
There are things that student applicants need to have for them to avail this scholarship. The basic requirements they have to obtain this scholarship are the following:
- Must demonstrate merit through community/campus activities, leadership, and academic achievements
- Should pursue a STEM major: Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics
- Should have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Has a Hispanic origin or significantly demonstrated service or leadership within the Hispanic community
- Must be enrolled in accredited undergraduate or graduate program for the upcoming semester. Should also be an accredited 2-year or 4-year university/college in the US and within it territories
