The University of Granada (UGR) is one of the largest and most important universities in Spain. It serves more than 60000 students per year, including many foreign students, as UGR is the leader host institution in the Erasmus and program in Europe.
The new University of Granada (UGR) Athenea3i Research Fellowship Programme is now available on offer to study in Spain. Researchers of any nationalities are eligible to apply for this fellowship. Athenea3i is a research fellowship program focused on attracting highly talented researchers to the University of Granada (UGR) in order to benefit their research career with International, Interdisciplinary and Intersection opportunities. Number of scholarships that will be awarded this year is unknown.
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship,the following criteria must be in order:
-Nationality: the UGR welcomes researchers from any nationality.
-Elapsed period since the doctorate degree: doctoral degree awarded no more than 7 years ago. They will consider an extension period to these 7 years in the case of maternity leave (18 months per child), paternity leave or long-term illnesses (all these exceptions have to be properly certified).
-Mobility rule: at the time of the relevant deadline for submission of proposals, the researcher must not have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the date of the call deadline. Compulsory national service and/or short stays such as holidays are not taken into account.
-English Language Requirements: Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.
