The Bank of Canada opens the application for inaugural Master’s Scholarship Award for Women in Economics and Finance. This scholarship is designed to advance and attracts women in the core areas of the Bank where they were represented. This is to give due honor to the performing women to advance their career positions in the company. Being able to give importance to women empowerment and gender equality.
As known to be the Nation’s central bank, they knew that a talented and diverse workforce can foster innovative thinking that will result in a better policy outcome for Canadians. These are the reason why they are delighted to offer this scholarship program for a student who wants to pursue their education, it’ll be based on skills merit, and a student’s desire to reproduce the composition of Canada’s labor market.
Worth of 10,000$ US Dollar award, and students are also awarded to learn in the fields of economics and finance. After the successful completion of the degree, the bank will give the student an offer of employment. Five students will receive the award with $10, 000. each.
To be qualified to apply for this scholarship, a student must be a Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident, self-identifies as a woman, an average grade of 70 or higher.
The documents required are a current résumé and cover letter, Official transcripts of their undergraduate academic record, Proof of acceptance or enrollment in a master’s degree program.
