Scholarship details
In an effort to reach out to young student-athletes in the road to success on and off the field or court, BigSun Organization is offering the BigSUn Scholarship. BigSun Scholarship is an annual scholarship to student-athletes enrolled in a school while competing in a sport at the same time, for the school or the country.
The scholarship amounts to $500 and is open to all high school senior students active in academics and excelling while representing the school also in any athletic competition. In order to apply for the scholarship, the applicant must submit a 500-1000 word essay answering the following:
- How has the applicant’s participation in the sport affected his/her high school student life?
- What are the applicant’s careers goals as influenced by the sport?
- How has the sport affected the applicant’s relationship with his/her family?
Aside from the essay, one or two recommendation letters could help the applicants get the scholarship.
To submit the application essay together with other supporting documents asked by the organization, the applicant may email BigSun. The deadline for the online application is on June 19, 2018 and interested applicant may head to the organization’s website to see the other eligibility requirements.
