About British Petroleum (BP) STEM Academies Global Scholarship in 2022
BP and AFS are hosting the BP Global STEM Academies program. The scholarship program will last for four weeks and will take place in Brazil, Egypt, India, and the United States. It will actually focus on science, technology, engineering, math (STEM), and global competency education.
On the other hand, BP Global STEM Academies scholarship winners will acquire well-rounded knowledge and skills through interaction and hands-on exercise of the curriculum. The BP Global STEM Academies program will also enable them to have problem-solving skills, analytical skills, cross-cultural understanding, and the ability to build bridges between cultures. The program is only available through a scholarship.
Finally, the STEM program will end with team projects and presentations that provide possible solutions to real-world problems. It will put emphasis on climate change and the energy transition.
Eligibility for the BP STEM Academies Global Scholarship 2023
AFS is awarding the BP Global STEM Academies Scholarship in 2023 to students from Brazil, China, Egypt, Germany, Ghana, India, Mexico, South Africa, and the United States. If you are from any of the listed countries, below is the requirement for this scholarship program:
Level/field of study
The BP Global STEM Academies program is for students who show an academic and career interest in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM subjects).
Host Nationality
The British Petroleum (BP) Global STEM Academies Scholarship program in 2023 will take place in Brazil, Egypt, India, and the United States. It will last four weeks.
Eligible Nationality
The BP Global STEM Academies Scholarship is open to students from Brazil, China, Egypt, Germany, Ghana, India, Mexico, South Africa, and the United States.
How does the AFS select scholarship recipients?
AFS conducts an application review, after which it will select qualified applicants through competitive, blind, and third-party evaluation to ensure that all students are selected without preference. Selection will also be made solely on the quality of your application, your merits, and your experience.
Successful applicants will be invited for an interview by AFS, after which the BP Global STEM scholarship winners will be selected and notified.

British Scholarship (BP) Petroleum Global STEM Academies Scholarship 2023 FAQ
The scholarship covers the AFS program fee, domestic and international airfares, your visa (if required), government fees to obtain a passport (if required), all program costs, meals, and accommodation fees.
Brazil: June 13 – July 11
Egypt: July 1 – July 29
United States: July 5 – July 31
India: July 12 – August 9
If you are selected for the Egypt program, you will live with host families.
If you are selected for the US program, you will live in a dorm. If you are selected for the Brazil program, you will either live in a dorm or stay with host families.
Expenses not covered by the BP Global STEM Scholarship include:
1 Vaccines, immunizations and other medications to prevent disease (ie malaria)
2. Travel expenses to the regional consulate to obtain a visa and to your first point of departure.
3. Spend extra money.
4. Checked Baggage Fees.
