Scholarship details
The Winston- Salem Foundation is pleased to offer the Bruce Shelton Scholarship in memory of Bruce Shelton’s graceful display of athletic and academic excellence together with his sense of responsibility. The annual scholarship amounts to $1000 and is open to graduating High School students from Forsyth County public High Schools.
The $1000 must be used for educational expenses such as tuition fees and materials for school.
Aside from the criteria mentioned above, the applicant must also be a varsity player in at least one sport while displaying activity in extracurricular endeavors such as community activities. A 3.0 GPA will be required of the applicant in his/her first semester in Grade 12, while ranking in the top 25% of the graduating batch.
To apply for the scholarship, applicant must head to the Winston-Salem Foundation’s site where the online application form may be filled out and submitted. In the same website, the rest of the eligibility requirements must also be submitted including the High School grade transcript and one recommendation letter.
