The Action Institute is a think-tank which aims to promote a free and virtuous society characterized by individual liberty and sustained by religious principles. They embraces an objective framework of moral values, but also recognizes and appreciates as well as the subjective nature of economic value. It views justice as a duty of all to give the one his due but, more importantly, as an individual obligation to serve the common good and not just his own needs and wants. In order to promote a more profound understanding of the coming together of faith and liberty. Action Institute involves members of religious, business, and academic sphere in its various training in publication and journal and other academic activities.
In partnership with Calihan Travel Grants they provided scholarships to the students who have been selected to academic conference and research relevant theme which promoted by Action Institute. This themes includes theological ideas with principles of government, law of rule, freedom of religious and economic crisis. The program offers to the students who want to travel abroad and attend educational conferences which involves the mentioned themes.
Successful applicants will be reviewed and selected by Action Institute research team.
Agreement:
Successful applicants needs to respond to the award notification within one month prior and comply to fellowship requirements listed below.
Duration:
The scholarships are not renewable but applicants are eligible to reapplu.
Deadlines:
The program scholarship is on going for the selection of grantees. Application must be submitted and reviewed a minimum of 6 months prior to the travel date. No application will be entertained for retroactively.
Eligibility
The program is open to all seminarians or graduate students thelogy, philosophy, religion, economics, or related fields. Awards will be granted with no limitations of age, sex, nationality or either ethnic origin and citizenship, religious affiliation nor disability.
Benefits
Successful applicants will be grant with amount not exceed of $ 3000 but typically range from $500-$1000 including cost of travel, lodging, registration and other associated with conferences and research.
