Cavendish University is pleased to announce its Cavendish Excellence Scholarship for the best Zambian students to study for free.
These scholarships cover 100% tuition and functional fees and are available to first-year undergraduates and transfer students.
Cavendish Excellence Scholarship Recipients will be required to attend leadership workshops and play a role in mentoring and peer tutoring and other intellectually enriching or college marketing work-study initiatives for 15 hours a week. In addition, they must maintain a B+ average per semester.

Cavendish University Zambia is a private university located in Lusaka, Zambia, and is expected to move to Kafue City, where a new campus is under construction. It is affiliated with Cavendish International Limited, London.

Cavendish University Admission Procedures
To be admitted to pursue a program at CUZ, applicants must meet the University’s minimum entry requirement for that particular program. Details of these requirements can be found in the descriptions of each course prospectus.
FIRST STEP
A complete application consists of the application forms themselves, transcripts and certificates, application fees, and in some cases, a candidate submitting an application for admission may be subject to an admission interview. Interviews are conducted in person or by phone.

The application fee is ZMW120 and can be deposited into the CUZ bank account and the deposit slip is sent to the CUZ Accounts Office when you submit the application form.

SECOND STEP
The Admissions Committee considers numerous factors, including work experience, academic history, recommendations, personal interviews, and the body of the application itself.
One of the most important prerequisites for undergraduate programs is a completed twelfth-grade certificate with five or more credits. Mature entry applicants will normally be interviewed to assess their suitability for the program.
However, for postgraduate applications, work experience, including the candidate’s work history and current role and responsibilities in your organization, can play a critical role. The minimum qualification is a First Degree or a professional qualification in a relevant field.
THIRD STEP
The applicant is contacted within 3 business days. If accepted, the acceptance letter will contain information regarding the name of the program, fees, payment procedures, and waivers (if applicable). This stage confirms that a place has been reserved.
FOURTH STEP
Actual enrollment is complete when a student pays the minimum fee requirements and is assigned a student number.

What You Need To Know About The Cavendish Excellence Scholarship For Zambians
CUZ offers accredited and market-relevant academic programs that take place in its four schools, which are: the School of Medicine, School of Law, School of Business and Information Technology (BIT), and School of Arts, Education and Social Sciences (AESS).
All CUZ schools and faculties are geared toward fulfilling the University’s Mission of transforming students into Responsible, Educated, Employable, and Entrepreneurial Citizens (IEEE).
LEVEL / FIELD OF STUDY
This scholarship is open to new undergraduate AND transfer students to the university.
HOST NATIONALITY:

Cavendish Excellence Scholarship for Zambians ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To qualify for the Cavendish University Excellence Scholarships, an entering student must meet the following criteria:
- A maximum of 10 points at grade 12 or an A average at ‘A’ level
- Strong interest in developing leadership skills.
- Ability to pass written English and basic math test prior to entry.
- Ability to pass an oral interview.
- Must be able to study in day mode
- Must not be older than 25 years of age.
Applicants must also have:
- At least two letters of reference or recommendation, one of which must be from a principal at your previous school, and a second letter from a community leader.
How does it work
Qualified applicants should visit the registration office at Cavendish University, Corner of Great North and Washama Roads, with originals and photocopies of their grade 12 transcripts and ‘A’ level results (where applicable), and request to complete the scholarship application to Cavendish Excellence. During these visits, applicants will be scheduled for a pre-entry test and oral interview.
Cavendish University will initially offer scholarships in degree programs in the following two faculties:
- Medicine and
- of criminal law

Receive final approval and start studying
Once you have completed the necessary process, including the English and Math test and the oral interview, you will be contacted by an enrollment officer with the final decision of the Scholarship Committee.
Applicants who are approved will need to officially register for classes through their Enrollment Officer and may begin their studies immediately.
Applicants who are not approved can still study at Cavendish University by following the standard application process.
