Scholarship details
The Winston-Salem Foundation, in partnership with the Elkin High School, proudly presents the Claude B. Hart Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship, established in 1994, would provide financial assistance to deserving High School seniors from Elkin High School. The $1200 grant is renewable for four consecutive years and must only be used for educational expenses such as tuition fees and other school materials.
In order to be eligible for the scholarship, the graduating High School student from Elkin High School must be a promising student as proven by his/her academic marks. The applicant must also be intending to major in courses in mathematics, such as accounting, or engineering. Leadership skills will also be taken into consideration which will be judged by means of activity in community or school organization. Financial need will be taken into account but will not be the sole basis for the decision.
To apply for the scholarship, interested individuals must head on to the website of the scholarship provider, the Winston-Salem Foundation, and fill out the application form. The application form, together with the necessary documents such as grade transcripts must be submitted to the guidance office of Elkin High School.
