Scholarship details
At Davidson College in Germany, students who demonstrated a keen interest and success in Latin can apply for the Dobson-Neely Latin Scholarship. The beneficiaries of this scholarship will receive a scholarship worth $25,000 USD.
To be eligible for the scholarship, the student must possess an exceptional accomplishment in his/her general academic classes. Also, a significant experience and achievement in Latin is preferred. For recipients who maintained a good grade point average and meet all the requirements at Davidson, the scholarship is available for renewal in the remaining three (3) years of study of the recipient. However, the recipient is not required nor forced to major in Classical Languages and Literature or take a minor Latin class.
To be considered for the scholarship, the applicant must be a student at Davidson College first. After that, the applicant will have the access to submit an application for the Dobson-Neely Scholarship.
Also, the applicant is required to submit the following documents to be evaluated for the scholarship:
• An accomplished application for admission

• A letter of interest (interest in the scholarship, significant experience and other relevant engagements in Latin study)
The deadline for this scholarship depends on your chosen admission plan which is categorized into three parts: the first is on November 15, the second is on January 2, and the third is on January 5.
