Scholarship details
Kisling, Nestico & Redick, an Ohio-based personal injury law firm, is offering the $5000 Don’t Text and Drive Scholarship, to the student who develops the best proposal to persuade young adults to avoid texting while driving. The fight starts by raising awareness of the risks associated with distracted driving.
The core of the application is for students to develop a plan that will communicate the risks of distracted driving and encourage young adults to avoid participating is such behavior while behind the wheel. Interested students can apply online or download a PDF version of the application.
Qualification:
- A completed application form.
- A current high school, college, or graduate school transcript (unofficial copies are acceptable).
- A letter of recommendation from a teacher or faculty member.
- The scholarship must be applied to tuition and other education-related expenses. A check will be made payable to the recipient’s educational institution directly. Applicant’s are expected to submit any receipts to remain in compliance with the IRS.
Eligibilty :
- A United States citizen or permanent resident.
- Be accepted to or currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or graduate program within the United States.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Demonstrate good character and high initiative.

Entrants must to develop a plan that will persuade young adults from texting and driving by creating videos, submitting strategies, or be as creative as they’d like to convey their ideas. The application and supporting material must be received by March 31st, 2018. The scholarship winner will be notified by email prior to January 13, 2018.
