Scholarship details
The Leiden University Excellence Scholarship Program is open to outstanding non-EEA/non-EFTA students enrolling in a full-time master’s degree program at Leiden University.
Eligibility & Requirements
- Must be studying for a Master’s degree.
- Students must have achieved excellent study results in their previous education, this being relevant to the Master’s program for which they are applying.
- Applicants must have a non non-EEA/non-EFTA* passport and may not be eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans.
- Students of all nationalities can apply.
How to Apply
An applicant must first apply online for admissions to a Master’s program at Leiden University.
For any applicant that applies, the scholarship application is on their online portal.
For each application, there must be an indication that clearly shows that applying for the Leiden scholarship is based on each applicant that has already been accepted to the university.
In the scholarship section there is a requirement of uploading a letter of motivation for this scholarship.
Reward
This scholarship program does not cover full tuition, instead the scholarship covers half which comes to 15,000 euros.
Deadline & Annual
The deadlines are February 1, 2022 for the Spring and October 1, 2022 for the Fall. This is an annual scholarship program that can be renewed.
