Scholarship details
The University Twente Scholarship is given to students who have an outstanding academic reputation. The goal of this scholarship is to acknowledge graduate students who excel in their respective programs. And this is open for both European and non-European countries.
The University of Twente is located in Enschede, Netherlands. The UT collaborates with Delft University of Technology, Eindhoven University of Technology and the Wageningen University and Research Centre under the umbrella of 4TU and is also a partner in the European Consortium of Innovative Universities.
Eligibility
- All applicants must be a graduate student
- All applicants must be a foreign/international student that is not a native of the Netherlands
- All applicants must have excellent academic test scores

Requirements
The application for this scholarship in the Netherlands is a separate procedure from the entire admission process. Also, all applications are meant to be sent via online not through the post.
It is also noted through the univerisity’s website for the student applying to become familiar with the living cost associated with the location. Because the award does not cover living expenses only educational.
To be able to apply for this scholarships 2-year program students should have these two qualifications:
- An average grade of 7 (out of 10) at the end of the third quartile of the first year
- At least 50% of European Credits at the end of the third quartile of the first year
How to Apply
Students must first be admitted to the program beforehand before applying for this scholarship. Admissions to the univerisity and applying for the scholarship will be two separate notions.
Applying students must already have a student number provided to them by the univeristy.
The only students who can not apply are those that have graduated under an undergradaute program.
All applicants must comply with the general English language test requirement Academic IELTS 6.5. ALl students must have outstanding testing scores for the English language test.
Normally only 5 – 10% of applicants are chosen to attend Twent Univerisity, this means students must be in the top 10% of their graduting high school and first year univerisity classes. This means students that must absolutely be non-eligible for a Dutuch school loan. Any student must not be registered to receive any kind of loan from the Netherland governement.
Reward
While the website states that it is up to the student to figure out how to spend the award money as they wish, the award money is intended for study related costs.
Only full tutition and study based fees will be covered, any living wages or expensives are not covered by this scholarship. That will be left up to the student to apply for a second grant or scholarship that centers around paying of lviing expenses.
Deadline
Feburary 1, 2022 is the only deadline available.
Annual
This is an annual scholarship that has a deadline on every Feburary of each year.
