These scholarships are specifically for Bachelor’s and Master’s students who have had at least one full year of academic college.

Eligibility

  • Students that are applicable are the individuals that have successfully completed one full year of an academic program or course. These students are working towards a bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • Must be attending to will be transferring to a Latvia university or college.
  • Students will need to have previous chosen a study program through Latvian HEI.
  • International student are welcome to apply but they must pick a study program from Latvian HEI.

 

Requirements

Before the student can receive an application option, that student must have received an acceptance letter from Latvian HEI. This is a primary way of being accepted by a scholarship foundation or donated scholarship.

 

How to Apply

The very first step involves the student choosing a study program available through Latvian HEI. This is the only way to be truly accepted as an eligible student for this opportunity.

The applicants, who have obtained secondary education in the EU, EEA or Switzerland and if the issued diploma includes the assessment of the study language proficiency, which is equivalent to B2 level or higher, are not required to provide an internationally recognized language proficiency certificate and can apply for studies without additional proof of the study language knowledge.

 

Reward – Extra Benefits

The reward for this is spilt up monthly in €500 increments. Each student that is awarded this scholarship will receive a total of €500 per month for 10 months. The length duration of the student’s study program.

 

Student Visa

A student’s visa is needed for international students that are not citizens or permanent residents of Latvia. This means that international student will need to look for the Latvia Embassy in their own country and contact them to begin the student visa process. A student visa process will need an acceptance letter that is from Latvian HEI.

 

Open Submission Window Time Frame

The open submission window time frame is spilt up into different Autumn and Spring application deadlines. With this in mind students may need to figure out (if they have not already) what season they will be attending.

The call for applications is open between February 1, 2023 to April 1, 2023. This is the first round for open application calls.

 

Deadline Time Line

The application deadlines are stated for the Autumn and Spring. Autumn takes place during July 1, 2023 for EU students only. Non-EU students that apply should send in June 1, 2023.

For the Spring application deadline EU students have until December 1, 2023. While non-EU students have until Mid-October to November 1, 2023.

 

Annual or Renewable Scholarship Options

This is an annual scholarship that chooses a series of students that first the eligibility that is mentioned throughout this scholarship. This scholarship is available for up to 11 months which is considered renewable and not renewable.
