Students are encouraged to participate in an essay writing contest as part of the European SME Week. Entrants will have to answer the following topic: “What can the EU do to encourage more young people to become entrepreneurs?” which is also one of the European Union’s most-pressing economic questions.
The SME Week is a pan-European event designed to promote entrepreneurship across the European Union. The main events of the Week are the SME Assembly and the European Enterprise Promotion Awards Ceremony.
Successful students will win the following:
- First place winners will be offered a trip to Bratislava, Slovakia to attend the SME Assembly and present the 600-word + essay;
- Second and third place candidates will be allowed to record their essays which will be broadcasted in the SME Assembly.
Applicants must apply no later than 8 September 2017. The overall length of the essay must not exceed 2,500 words and written in English. The winners will be announced in November, during the SME Week
