What You Need To Know About Fanshawe College Scholarships 2023 For International Students
What types of scholarships are offered?
Fanshawe College offers the following types of scholarships:
- Program Specific Scholarships
- University and graduate scholarships.
- Scholarships for international students
- Entrance scholarships (first student)
- sports scholarships
- Continuing education and mature student scholarships.
- Scholarships for students with disabilities.
- External scholarships.
Athletic Scholarships are for students who are currently members of a varsity track team (i.e. are on the official team roster) or who have contributed in some way to the Fanshawe College Athletic Department.
In most cases, students do not have to apply for athletic scholarships, as selection will be by nomination or referral. There are many scholarship opportunities available to international students who are currently enrolled or attending Fanshawe College with a valid study permit and international visa.
These international opportunities can be accessed through the Fanshawe online application system. Fanshawe College also offers scholarships to students who wish to study abroad in a country outside of North America.
There are some admission scholarship opportunities offered to students who have recently graduated from high school and those who have accepted their offer of admission to attend a specific program at Fanshawe College. Most of these opportunities do not require students to apply, as they are based primarily on the overall admission average of the students.
In most cases, funds from each scholarship will be applied first to any outstanding balance in the student’s tuition account. Any remaining fund balance will be disbursed in the form of a check payable to the student.
Most scholarships are presented at one of the Fanshawe College Foundation Annual Awards Ceremonies, where the scholarship will likely be received in the form of a check unless otherwise specified by the donor.
Eligibility
Students who are currently enrolled full-time at Fanshawe College and/or currently attend Fanshawe College full-time.
Eligible students must have a minimum GPA, enrollment in a specific program or area of study, demonstration of specific skills or experience, involvement within the university/campus or community, and volunteerism.
Level/field of study
Students who are currently enrolled full-time for their undergraduate studies at Fanshawe College and/or who are currently attending Fanshawe College full-time.
Host Nationality
All Fanshawe College Scholarships are hosted in the UK.

Yes, Fanshawe University Scholarships are available for international students. The following includes Fanshawe University Scholarships for International Students
International Returned Student Award
The International Returning Student Award is currently open to all international visa students with a valid Study Permit, who have registered full-time at Level 2 or above of a Fanshawe post-secondary program.
Eligible applicants must have earned a 3.0 cumulative GPA from the previous semester(s) of the Fanshawe Post-Secondary Program. Students must have participated in college activities at the program, school, or broader college level.
The student must include a one-page statement of their involvement with the campus and include a letter of recommendation from a Fanshawe College faculty or staff member. Recipient students can only win this award once in their lifetime.
Online application periods are: May 1, 20 – June 15, 2023, September 1, 2023 – October 15, 2023, and January 2, 2023 – February 15, 2023
Scotiabank International Leadership Scholarship
The Scotiabank International Leadership Scholarship is currently open to all international visa students who hold a valid Study Permit and are registered full-time in Level 3 (third semester) of any diploma or degree program at Fanshawe College with a minimum 3.5 GPA who has participated in university activities at the program, school, or community college level.
The recipient must be from a country outside of North America where Scotiabank operates a business and demonstrate that they have not received another Scotiabank Leadership Award or any other Fanshawe College International Award (excluding the President’s Roll of Honor) in their lifetime. The Scotiabank International Leadership Scholarship is an online application.
Premio Kim Rowe Memorial
The Kim Rowe Memorial Award has been established for full-time International Visa students with a valid Study Permit, who have successfully completed their first year of a two-year diploma, advanced diploma, undergraduate study program, or postgraduate program at Fanshawe College and enrolled in their second year (level 3) of their program.
Students must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and must describe how they demonstrate kindness, empathy, and commitment to life and the international community at Fanshawe College (maximum of 250 words).
Scotiabank International Student Achievement Award
The Scotiabank International Student Achievement Award is open to all international visa students who hold a valid Study Permit and are registered full-time in Level 3 (third semester) of any Fanshawe College program with a minimum GPA of 3.0 demonstrating leadership and university/community involvement.
