Fig Loans was founded in 2014 and started as a collaboration with United Way THRIVE in Houston, Texas. Fig Loans is dedicated to customers and communities, trying to help with loans and problems caused by payday lending practices, offering emergency loans and financial stability products with a lower rate and fewer payments.
Fig Loans Social Impact Scholarship is 1000$ annual reward for the best essay on ‘What’s an issue in your community that you’re passionate about?’ topic. Fig Loans is trying to help students to make a difference with career and bring positive change in their communities.
Students who are eligible to apply for Fig Loans Social Impact Scholarship must comply with the following:
- Full-time student enrolled in a two year, four years, or graduate program
- Attending school OR permanent address in the greater Texas area
- All majors
- Permanent residents or Citizens of The United States
Application:
- Current college transcript
- Student Resume
- 400 to 800 words essay
The deadline for submission is September 15, 2017.
