Frederick Douglass Institute Fellowship Program or FDI are designed for the African and African American students. Their mission is to help the Undergraduate and graduates to further their education, research, and knowledge exchange within the community of the University. Two residential fellowships will be sponsored annually by the FDI to help them support the mission.
The fellows are awarded to learn the Interdisciplinary Program or the African and African-American Studies.
The fellowship is awarded for a Ph.D. degree scholars, the scholarship covers the stipend of 40,000$ US Dollar and an additional fund of 3,000$ US Dollar for a related research activity. The successful fellows will be contributing or participate in the institute intellectual life, and continue his/her scholarship, and be able to teach the course area of specialization.
Students must complete their FDI application form, a curriculum vitae is required, three letter of recommendations to be mailed directly by the referee, thesis prospectus, an official transcript of academic records. Students must also submit a written proposal which is related to the topic of the FDI this is published or unpublished.
Successful fellows will also have the access to the facilities of the university, to interact or collaborate with other scholars in related to their research or projects, will receive an office space in the university.
