Eligibility
- First and foremost, students that want to apply for this scholarship need to fill out and apply for financial aid first.
- This scholarship is available to award both graduate and undergraduate students.
- For high school students to apply: These students will need to submit their grade point average and a letter of recommendation.
- For undergraduate students to apply: Must be a continuing student at this university and has at least 12 credits. Along with an average or minimum of 2.5 grade point average. The student must either be a Untied States Citizen, Permanent Resident, or F-1 International Student. And undergraduate students need to be a full-time student.
- For graduate students: Students must have or hold 6 credits while attending UVI, must hold an average minimum of 3.5 grade point average, has to be a United States Citizen, Permanent Resident, or F-1 International Student, along with being a full-time student.
- However, some students that qualify may need to hold a higher qualifying grade point average of 3.0 or 4.0.
- Graduate, undergraduate and high school students are eligible to apply for this UVI scholarship.
- Both male and female students are eligible to apply.
Requirements
All students should know that the University of the Virgin Islands Scholarship Committee offers scholarships to new freshmen, current, transfer, graduate and international students. And that is what this scholarship(s) page is about.
For domestic students: Provide grade point average, transcripts, and show that the student is a full-time resident of the U.S.
For international students: Provide grade point average, transcripts, transfer documents, student visa and appropriate documents to show that attendance is occurring.
This is a free tuition scholarship which means students should always follow the guidelines to keep within the rules.
