Eligibility
- When it comes to an exchange student applying for the Nordly Scholarship Exchange Program, this means the student’s home university will end up paying for the reward aspect or total.
- An exchange student means that the student should be an international student upon applying for this scholarship.
- English seems to be the top course that is selected for this scholarship, however, there is mention of a number of languages that are presented as a high priority for this scholarship.
Requirements
First off, students that did not complete their application will not be chosen as exchange students for this program.
- The courses the student will be taken must be listed in the application called Søknadsweb.
- Any student that is nominated for this exchange program must upload there transcripts or what is referred to as ‘transcript of records.’ The committee uses this to choose which student is the best fit for this program.
How to Apply
The best way to apply is by selecting the Nordplus/Nordlys scholarship application form.
All students will receive a page that is based on their profile (academics, current address, full name) where all of the online application will take place and be sent online. This application cannot be printed and sent to the university through the mail.
Students will be able to set their list of courses once they have logged onto the university student portal page and share with faculty what courses will be registered for that year.
Reward – Extra Benefits
The reward for this scholarship includes a full year of paid tuition, accommodation, and possibly insurance. This amount will be paid in full by the student’s home university.
Student Visa
International students will be able to follow a general guide that can be asked for at the embassy or online through a government website about successfully applying for a student visa without trouble. As of right now, applying at the earliest convenience is important.
Deadline Time Line
The deadline date is set for May 1, 2023 for the Autumn semester. Then the next following deadline date for the Spring 2024 semester is October 15, 2023.
Open Submission Window Time Frame
The open submission window is during the Summer and Winter semesters. Students should take note that the deadline dates for the Autumn and Spring are May, 1 2023 and October 15, 2023.
Annual or Renewable Scholarship Options
This is an annual scholarship that is available to apply towards at two different set times throughout the academic year. This scholarship is renewable based on certain rules and guidelines that are followed by the student.
