Eligibility
- The scholarship mentioned above was designed for students that are working towards their undergraduate degree in the subject field of Agriculture, Food and Environment.
- The students selected and there will be more than 2 students selected for this scholarship will be chosen by there SAT scores.
- Gifted high school students will be sought after if they are an eligible match for this scholarship.
- Acting as an academic merit-scholarship, as a matter of fact most of the funding will be guaranteed by academic merit scholarship donations.
- International students are welcome to apply.
- Financial aid is the only way to properly be considered enrolled in the scholarship draw for this option.
Requirements
All applicant should know that during their actual American University of Beirut admissions application section that there regular transcripts from high school that was used in the AUB admissions process will be used in this scholarship application as well.
If students have already applied to study at the American University or Beirut they still qualify to apply for the Carmen and Ray Debbane Scholarship.
How to Apply
Applying by submitting admission to the American University of Beirut is accepted as an application for this scholarship along with the separate scholarship application that is available with this opportunity.
Any individuals that become recipients will need to watch their grades and that they do not slip from the great academic standpoint that helped the student to win this scholarship. Grades will be watched during the entire time the student is moving forward with the rewards of this scholarship.
Students will need to apply for financial aid to be considered for this scholarship.
Requirements for students to apply to study at the American University of Beirut includes:
- High school records during grades 10 and 11
- SAT scores
- 50% is based on the SAT1: (Evidence-based Reading and Writing + Math) sections
- Class rank in the top 25 percent in each of the last two years prior to application
There are more requirements needed to be admitted.

Full tuition coverage for three to four years is offered with this scholarship. Students will be able to apply for this scholarship and have their complete tuition covered without out of pocket extra expenses.
Student Visa
This scholarship is open to international students which means that international students will need to contact the nearest Lebanon Embassy in their own country to be granted a student visa. acquiring a student visa is not as difficult as it may seem, instead it’s about sending in the correct government paperwork such as birth certificate, licenses, and passport.
Open Submission Window Time Frame
The open submission window follows the application admissions deadline and open window policy. Regular time lines available include the deadline for applications is October 31, 2023. So From August to October 31, 2023 is the open window date.
Deadline Time Line
The deadline date for the actual academic application to attend the American University of Beirut is October 31, 2023. This is the only available deadline date. However, there is more than likely deadline extensions depending on the student’s cause.
