Scholarship details
While this scholarship is being updated for the 2023 academic school year, the Regional Disability Scholarships can be utilized at the Nauru Campus for the University of the South Pacific.
The University of the South Pacific is now accepting scholarships that are available for regional disability students. There is a number of guidelines that need to be followed before the students send in everything that is required.
Eligibility
- Eligible students that can apply must be from the Cook Islands, Kiribati, Nauru, Tonga, Vanuatu, Fiji, and the Marshall Islands.
- The student must pass all the USP admissions requirements.
- The student applying for the scholarship must be already enrolled or admitted to the USP program for September 2023.
- Both male and female students are eligible to apply.
- The applicants must demonstrate incredible academic ability and excellence.
- There must be a letter provided by a recognized and licensed disability service provider. This is to state what disability the student has been diagnosed with.
- There is some programs this scholarship does not cover, however, the student will need to look at the different programs where this scholarship would not cover everything in expenses.
- Students should first complete the USP application forms before applying for this scholarship. As a matter of fact this is the very first step to go forward.

The main requirement is that the students who are applying should be enrolled or accepted to a USP Program.

There are many more programs to pick from when searching for which degrees to choose from. There are undergraduate, bachelor’s, master’s diploma, and other degrees available to fit the needs of any student.
It is important that the student is from one of the countries mentioned in the original University of the South Pacific website. If a international student submits a scholarship where they are not from one of the countries mentioned in the guideline then they will have an ignored application.
How to Apply
The only way to apply is online, with the scholarship application. First off the application for this scholarship cannot be sent in unless the student hasn’t be accepted or enrolled to the University of the South Pacific. The student must be accepted or enrolled first.
Reward – Extra Benefits
Complete and full tuition fees will be covered. No student has to worry about their tuition fees once they have become a recipient of this scholarship. Students will also be presented with return airfare tickets to visit family, monthly living allowances, the students awarded will receive a health pass for the University health facility (this means health insurance is provided.) There is on campus added accommodation. Also the one off payment which is called the ‘establishment payment’ which will be completely waived for the student.
Deadline Time Line
Applications for this scholarship close on October 31, 2023. This is the only available deadline that is presented on the original university website. However, a student could contact the email address provided below to see if there is a possible way to extend the deadline.
Open Submission Window Time Frame
The open submission window is between May and October 31, 2023. For this time frame students should be able to fill out their scholarship application completely without leaving any blanks unless it says to. Afterwards, being sure that all of the proper documents and information is provided that is described on the follow guideline. This is why the student can actually send in this scholarship.

Annual or Renewable Scholarship Options
This is an annual scholarship option that has the potential to be renewed for a new year. This scholarship can be renewed for a two-year duration, however, it does depend on if the student keeps an average or above 2.5 grade point average for their whole duration.
