Students will be happy to know about the TESAS Awards from the University of Technology at Papua New Guinea college. Papua New Guinea citizens who are recent high school graduates and have successfully been admitted to n undergraduate program at this university and have been deemed eligible for the TESAS scholarship awards.
Eligibility
- Students must be Papua New Guinea citizens when applying.
- Applicants must intend to study as full-time students and be studying on-campus.
- This is an academic merit-based award since this award is only available to high-achieving academic students.
- Students that are attempting to apply must not have committed a criminal offense within the last two years.
- Applicants must not have been excluded from the tertiary institution on academic grounds within the last two years.

This is not a complete list of all of the available academic programs. This is only the undergraduate list. There is both undergraduate and a postgraduate list of academics available online. Students can be taking any study program to be qualified.
How to Apply
The only way to apply is by becoming an undergraduate attending student at the Papua New Guinea University of Technology. The student must be enrolled and they will either be invited or they can apply directly through the university for this scholarship option.
While undergraduate students will be deemed eligible for this award, undergraduates are not the only students who can achieve this award at it’s full potential.
Students cannot have lost their prior TESAS award within the last two years, if they have they are deemed denied to apply again.
Rewards – Extra Benefits
The rewards the the TESAS award will cover book fees, accommodation fees, however, the first fee and payable amount will be to cover the student’s tuition in complete for an entire year.
If students have a lot of the fees paid off towards tuition, this scholarship will cover the remaining while covering other resource fees.
Student Visa
International students will be able to follow a general guide that can be asked for at the embassy or online through a government website about successfully applying for a student visa without trouble. As of right now, applying at the earliest convenience is important.
Deadline Time Line
The official deadline date for the University of Technology is listed as October 20, 2023. For the 2022 academic year this deadline was extended to the 21st of October. So there is possibility there will be an extended deadline in the future.

Annual or Renewable Scholarship Options
This is an annual scholarship that is available to apply towards at two different set times throughout the academic year. This scholarship is not renewable considering that only first year students may apply each year. Meaning a student who applies and does not become a reciepnt will have to apply for a different scholarship the following year. The same goes for a student who does become a reciepnt of this scholarship, it will only last the duration of an academic year.
