Scholarship Eligibility
Before proceeding with the application, the students must meet the eligibility requirements of the university. Monash University has specific academic, English language, and age requirements for student admission.
- The PhD scholarship is available to Indonesian citizens or permanent residents who can commit to full-time participation in the program.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from Monash University, involving at least four years of full-time study, which includes a research component in the fourth year, leading to an honors degree at H1 or H2A level.
- Have completed a course leading to a master’s preliminary qualification rated as equivalent to an honor’s class 1 or 2A degree, as assessed by the relevant department, school, and committee.
- Possess a master’s degree in a related discipline, with a significant research component, considered at least equivalent to an Australian honors degree involving a full-time year of research and an examined thesis. Normally, a minimum grade of H2A should be achieved for the research thesis or project.
- Hold a qualification deemed equivalent to the above requirements.
University’s Age Requirements
- To be enrolled at the Monash University, the students must be at least 17 years of age.
An exception to the age requirements:
- If you will be at least 16 years old at the time of enrolment and have attained a qualification rank considered equivalent to an Australian Year 12 ATAR of at least 95 in the Victorian Certificate of Education.
- Age below 17 at the time of enrolment but have not received a rank in another qualification equivalent to an Australian Year.
- have achieved a rank in another qualification deemed equivalent to an ATAR of at least 95 in the Victorian Certificate of Education.
- The Head of School or Dean will check the age eligibility for the admission.
English Requirements
- The applicants must meet the specified minimum English language requirements, with the exception of the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine programs, which have higher English language requirements.
- Completion of English studies at Year 12 level or its equivalent.
- Studying at an institution where English is the primary language of instruction.
- Providing results from recognized English Proficiency Tests.
- Completion of Monash English Bridging program.

The application can be complete in an online portal provided by the University. Eligible students can also directly applied to the admission.
