Eligibility
To be considered for the fellowship awards, the applicants must meet the following:
- Applicants must have a minimum of five years experience as journalists or any rare cases which demonstrate the level of the applicant’s expertise.
- If the applicant is a freelance journalist they are also encouraged to apply.
- The application is open to all nationalities all over the world. which also includes Africa, Europe, Asia-Pacific Region, Latin America, and North America.
- International students must have good communication skills in oral and written English.
Keep in mind that journalists who are working in public relations, public affairs, or corporate communications are not eligible for the fellowship awards.

Fellowship Awards
The Reuters Institute will be providing fully-funded awards to the successful 30 Journalist fellows.
