About the Scholarship:
Kibris Bati Üniversitesi (Cyprus West University) was founded in 2015 as a non-profit private higher-education institution in the city of Famagusta (population range of 50,000-249,999 persons), Northern Cyprus. Kibris Bati Üniversitesi (KIBÜ) is a small (uniRank enrollment range: 1,000-1,999 students) coeducational Cypriot higher education institution that is officially recognized by the Yüksekögretim Planlama, Denetleme, Akreditasyon ve Koordinasyon Kurulu (North Cyprus Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation and Coordination Council). Kibris Bati Üniversitesi (KIBÜ) provides courses and programs that lead to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor’s degrees in a variety of fields. This Cypriot higher-education school, which is only five years old, has a selective admission procedure based on entrance exams and students’ previous academic records and ratings. With an acceptance rate of 50-60%, this Cypriot higher education school is considered averagely selective. Applicants from all over the world are welcome to apply. KIBÜ also offers a library, lodging, sports facilities, financial help and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, online courses and distance learning options, as well as administrative services to students. With state-of-the-art facilities and fittings, as well as a modern campus building that stands tall amidst the picturesque Famagusta scenery, the institution provides many different paths for student development intellectually and socially.
This student-centered learning institution is dedicated to encouraging intercultural connections on its diverse campus, which includes students from more than 24 nations across the world. CWU is currently following a strict academic timetable; this new learning technique began in September and is structured in 14 weeks, with each program spanning eight semesters. Students will be able to take courses and tests or exams whenever they want (semester, day, time) as long as they follow their time schedule. Everyone would have the option of a four-year certification over a longer period of time or a three- or two-year certification over a shorter period of time.
CWU thinks that it will be business visionaries, not governments or major corporations, who will bring about change and lift the globe out of its current financial crisis. Regardless, in order to be a successful business visionary, pupils must be well-taught and have a distinguished academic reputation. Some university graduates are keen to pursue their chosen professions, while others may pursue entrepreneurship, which provides jobs for others. Nonetheless, the value of a university degree extends beyond the constrained limits of finding a new line of work or starting a business to more meaningful levels such as assisting young people in discovering their self-purpose, increasing personal and community awareness, and opening new horizons for future generations. Cyprus West University is a fantastic university that deviates from the traditional higher educational system. Despite being one of the country’s newest institutions, CWU has managed to establish itself as a unique teaching and research institution.
The university’s tuition is relatively low, and it provides a high-quality education to people from all walks of life. Tuition, housing, and other academic fees vary by faculty, but students may expect to pay extremely reasonable prices for tuition, housing, and other academic expenditures From the start of their programs at CWU and for the duration of their programs, all international students at the institution get a 60% subsidy on their tuition expenses. This scholarship plan was designed by the university to further foster international contacts and strengthen the university’s commitment to internationalization, which is a win-win situation for both the university and the students. A 70% scholarship is available to students who have demonstrated dynamic academic distinction in their previous schooling. This scholarship is awarded at the faculty’s discretion. Similarly, students who achieve good grades or a cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 after their first two semesters at CWU are eligible for a 100 percent tuition scholarship, which normally lasts for the rest of the program as long as the student maintains this cumulative GPA.
