This Grant is designed to be given to the applicants from countries in the Caribbean, North Africa, the Middle East, and Sub-saharan Africa regions of the world by The Adolescent Girl Advisory Council.

This Fund will be given to girls of the adolescent stage of growth, who has the ability to propel girls’ rights advocacy. The aims of this Fund is to create more awareness among girls and women as to promote gender equality, girls and women’s education, political participation among this sex considered as weak by the opposite sex. All these and more as they concerned girls and women are the courses that this Fund envisions to aid, and bring to the limelight the importance and relevance of girls and women in the local, regional and global arena. The Organizer believes that the best candidates to champion such course are the girls themselves, therefore, ready to give the resources and support needed for the course to the awardees.

Eligibility for this award:

  1. A girl of between 10-17, from the Middle East, Sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa, and the Caribbean are eligible.
  2. Must be a feminist and who uphold firmly all the tenets of feminism.

iii. Must be passionate and ready to pursue the core of the attainment of social justice.

  1. Ready to be heard and take actions to bring positive change to this course.
  2. Willing to be part of this campaign for at least two years

Value of the award:

Becoming a member of the Adolescent Girls Advisory Council gives you a platform for your voice to be heard and ideas to be presented, and also give you the support so that you can support and give succor and good news to the adolescent girls around the world that they can be who they want to be.

You can have a podium to air you knowledge, ideas and experience and give advice on girls related issue from the perspective of your region as well as having part and contributions to make recommendations to the Adolescent Girls’ Right team in formulation of their program, implementation and evaluation as to effect positive change to women and girls that lives around the world. Being part of some other girls and women related campaign and advocacy.
