Scholarship details
Janet Margaret Freeman was one of the bravest souls to ever battle cancer, unfortunately, she lost the fight but her courage and her name will forever resonate through the Janet Margaret Freeman Scholarship. With the help of the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, the scholarship was made possible through the efforts of her family.
The scholarship is open to graduating High School students affected by cancer personally or through a dear loved one. After meeting the eligibility requirements, interested applicants only have to fill out and submit a general application for to the scholarship provider, the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults.
To be eligible, the applicant must be 15-39 years old and actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an accredited university or a college. The degree must be a 4-year course and the student must be a citizen of the United States.
The scholarship amounts to $2500 and must be used for educational expenses. The general application form must be submitted before the deadline, March 1, together with any proof of claims should the scholarship committee ask for it.
