Scholarship details
John Hanley was the committed father of Ryan Hanley and served as the inspiration behind the 4K for Cancer program. Ryan Hanley never gave up on his father and as a way to give back to the community that helped him support his father, Ryan, with the help of the Ulman Cancer Fun for Young Adults, established the John Hanley Memorial Scholarship.
The $2500 award is open to individuals who display the spirit of courage and determination despite the challenges brought about by personally being affected. The applicant must be a young adult who has survived or is currently battling the illness.
The applicant must be an undergraduate student working towards a degree through a 4-year course at a university or college. The applicant must also be a US citizen aged 18-25 during the time of the application. The applicant must be committed in service to the community by being active in various services.
To apply for the scholarship, the applicant must fill out a general scholarship form that would be submitted to the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults. For further inquiries, interested individuals may contact the organization through the official email address.
