The Lundbeck Foundation is one of Denmark’s largest commercial foundations worth over DKK 60 billion, and they award research grants of around DKK 500 million each year to Danish-based, biomedical sciences research – primarily in the field of brain research.
The Lundbeck Foundation opens a PhD Scholarship and inviting all inspiring students to study in Denmark, This scholarships are available to pursue the PhD programme in the field of biomedical and health sciences. The aim of the foundation’s grants is to make a significant contribution to increase the quality and the usability of all research-based knowledge.
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship applicants must met the following criteria, If the students already hold a Master’s degree or already gain the master’s degree three to four months after the application deadline. The foundation demands that the applicants must be a registered PhD student at university. International applicants are eligible to apply for this scholarship program. This scholarship can only be taken in Denmark.
The scholarship amount depends on the collective agreement, there is an annual amount stated in the application form. This covers the salary, tuition fees and a contribution towards students expenses.
Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the university.
