The MasterCard Foundation, in partnership with the Wellesley College USA, presents the MasterCard Foundation Scholarship Program which seeks to educate African women. The scholarship program will provide nine (9) African women with comprehensive support which includes scholarships, counseling, mentoring, and internship opportunities.

Applicants selected for the Program include;
– Academically talented: These are people who value learning and are driven to complete their education
– Economically disadvantaged: These are people who face tremendous setbacks in their plight for education
– Committed to giving back: They must be willing to apply what they have learnt to improve their communities
– Future leaders: They have a commitment to embracing ethical leadership for the improvement of the lives of others

– Comprehensive scholarship, this include support for tuition, book, supplies, room, meal plans, and lot more.
– Scholars will receive training in 21st century skills in areas that are relevant to employment success
– Scholars will transition assistance, this include mentoring, leadership development, career counseling, and other life-skills coaching.
– Scholars will also have access to job opportunities across the African continent

How to apply:
Candidates who apply to the Wellesley College and indicate interest for financial aid and are found to meet the criteria for the MasterCard Foundation Scholarship Program will be considered for the grant for school. Candidates will not be required to complete additional forms or take any other steps at this time.
Successful applicants will be contacted by the Admission Office and would be required to conduct a Skype interview.
