Transforming African students into a high level development in the field of science from agricultural views is the main mission of the MasterCard Foundation which has its sorority partners in all 26 universities in Africa.
Its goal for partnering with the local universities in Africa is to tap students for a better awareness of the new technological advancement. Transitioning agricultural based standards to a new phase innovation in technology, science and applied business. It has emphasis to develop Africa as a new faced nation from agricultural perspective.
The scholarship is open to all African students in pursuing their bachelor and master’s degree. Successful scholarship awardee may choose courses only in the following fields Science in Agri-Entrepreneurship and Communication Management, Science in Food and Agribusiness, Science in Food Security and Community Nutrition and Science in Agri-Enterprises Development
Scholarship grants may only be taken in Kenya and Uganda which covers a free tuition fees, an air fare tickets one way to students outside of Uganda and Kenya. Cost of living allowance as well as research, laboratories, accommodation, stipends and others may be covered by the scholarship grants.
You must be a native of Uganda and Kenya to be eligible for the scholarship with below average family income or belonged to the economically disadvantaged family. Must likewise finish secondary school and must show interest in the field of agriculture, agribusiness and entrepreneurship.
