Scholarship details
The YLA unites youth from everywhere throughout the world, joined by the objective of making a positive change in their groups. It is a one year program contained three parts:
- The YLA Retreat
- Project Implementation
- Alumni Mentorship and Support
This is a fully-funded scholarship, from Young Leaders from across the globe. The YLA dispatches with the Retreat in late July, held in New York, NY and Burlington, Vermont. It comprises of three modules: Modern Leadership, Global Citizenship, and Local Change. Amid the last period of the withdraw, Young Leaders will make a novel activity intend to address an issue in his or her group. Over the next year, Young Leaders execute their plans while being guided remotely through online workshops and a Mentor from the Young Leaders graduated class group. When Young Leaders have effectively finished the YLA they are qualified to apply for the Alumni Ventures Fund which grants gifts of up to $5,000 USD with a time of expert mentorship.
The program also covers the flight costs, food, travel, housing and other necessary needs of the successful student.
Students must be at the age of 16-28 years old upon applying for this program, Good oral and communication skills in English language, Approach email or another web stage that permits reliable correspondence with the MCW group and tutor for the length of the year-long program, Exhibit responsibility regarding their group, Be qualified for suitable visa and travel documentation, Distinguish an issue looked at their group they might want to address, Submit finished application as early or before January 2, 2018.
