Scholarship details
The University of Melbourne located in Australia established a scholarship named The Human Rights Scholarship, this scholarship is awarded to students who are undertaking research in the field of human rights.
The University usually awards two scholarships per year, Opens to all students.
The scholarship duration is up to two years for a students who is taking up a Master by research degree, and for a students undertaking a Doctorate by research degree will be three years with a possible of six month extension.
The scholarship benefits include a fortnightly living allowance, relocation allowance for students moving to Melbourne from interstate or from outside Australia, they also paid sick leaves, maternity and parenting leave. However this human right scholarship does not cover tuition fees for the international students.

To be eligible for this scholarship they required that the students must either applied and meet the entry requirements for a Master or Doctorate by research degree at the University of Melbourne, or a students who are currently enrolled to a research degree at the University of Melbourne, intend to undertake graduate research in the human rights field and be committed to the peaceful advancement of respect for human rights that extends beyond academic studies such as voluntary work and/or work experience, students who have not completed research qualification, intend to study as a full-time student unless there are circumstances for not undertaking full-time study. This is only for a students who doesn’t received a Human Rights Scholarship.
Scholarships are awarded to learn Research Degree Programme in the area of human rights at the University of Melbourne.
