Scholarship details
The National Honor Society Scholarships offers 400 scholarships valued between $2,325 and $20,125 a year. The program was launched in 1946, and since its inception, college students have benefited from more than $13 million in scholarships.
Application for National Honor Society scholarships begins November 1 of each year. Students should complete their applications as soon as possible.

Level/field of study
High school seniors who are members of the National Honor Society (NHS) and who meet the requirements of an affiliated NHS chapter are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Host Nationality
The National Honor Society scholarships will be held in the United States.

Scholarship Voucher

- The winners of these scholarships are classified as national semi-finalists. Additionally, 24 students will be national finalists and will receive a $4,500 scholarship.
- One lucky winner will be named the national champion and receive the top prize of $20,125.

Eligibility for National Honor Society Scholarships 2023
Selection for this scholarship has four pillar selection criteria: leadership, scholarship, character, and service. Therefore, students should highlight these four areas in their application.
In addition to these areas, the financial needs of the student are taken into account. Students can learn more about eligibility requirements on this site. Students can also defer the award if they wish. The scholarship is valid for up to four years after it is awarded.
