Scholarship details
The Obama Foundation Scholars Program aims to offer support to collaborative, dynamic, and rising leaders from across the world in a one-year innovative academic experience.
The Obama Foundation Scholars resides at Columbia World Projects. This is a new initiative that aims at systematically bringing university research to the world by way of projects which would have significant and lasting positive impact on the lives of people and will guide the way towards finding solutions to intractable problems. During the academic year, scholars will have the opportunity of participating in CWP.
After the completion of the program, scholars will return to their regions where they have been working and continue along a path of service. Scholars of the grant will be able to take the connections and skills they acquire during the program and apply them for the benefit of their communities or countries.

Eligibility:
The following are the criteria that rising leaders must meet for them to be eligible for the scholarship;
– Leaders must show a commitment to service and leadership within their community, region, or country, outside the United States. They must also show a commitment to return to these communities after the completion of their program.
– They must be emerging leaders who have contributed meaningfully to their field
– They must be fluent in English
