Scholarship details
For students who demonstrated an exceptional ability in and passion in the visual art field, the Pepper Visual Art Scholarship is available to lift the burden of expensive fees in a visual art school. This scholarship is created by Mrs. Nita Easly Pepper and James G. Pepper that provides an annual financial assistance of $30,000 to its recipient.
For recipients who maintained a good grade point average and meet all the requirements in the art course, the Pepper Visual Art Scholarship is available for renewal. However, the recipient is not required nor forced to be an arts major.
To be considered for the scholarship, the applicant must be a student at Davidson College first. After that, the applicant will have the access to submit an application for the Pepper Visual Art Scholarship.
Also, the applicant is required to submit the following documents to be evaluated for the scholarship:
- An accomplished application for admission

- A portfolio including 12-15 images of the applicant’s own work (Note: as defined in the scholarship application form, the images should be uploaded as a separate media file)
The applicants are reminded to submit one portfolio only. Basically, the applicant should accomplish the form of application and include his/her interest to be considered for this scholarship.
The deadline for this scholarship depends on your chosen admission plan which is categorized into three parts: the first is on November 15, the second is on January 2, and the third is on January 5.
