Scholarship details
Perlita Liwanag Memorial Scholarship is open to all young individuals whose lives have been greatly affected by cancer but is still determined to continue their educational endeavor despite their experience. This scholarship was instituted in memory of Perlita Liwanag who lost her life to Pancreatic Cancer.
The applicant may be personally battling cancer or has parent / guardian battling the said disease. The applicant has to be U.S. citizen residing either in Maryland, Virginia or British Columbia, and is currently pursuing their education within the country.
Applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 39 and is attending a university or a four-year college. The total worth of the scholarship is $ 2,500. The fund will be paid directly to the college or university the successful applicant had chosen.
In return, the foundation is expecting the chosen applicant to be active in the foundation’s drive for bone marrow registry.
Student applicants are expected to complete their application forms and submit it together with the other requirements.
