Scholarship details
The University of Oslo, is the oldest, largest and most prestigious university in Norway, located in the Norwegian capital of Oslo. UiO attracts students and researchers from all over the world.
Applicants must hold a master degree (or an equivalent to the Norwegian master degree) in biostatistics or within a relevant field (bioinformatics, epidemiology, public health, medicine, social or natural sciences) with good knowledge of statistics and experience in statistical modelling and use of statistical software. Experience in handling large datasets will be an advantage.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following area for the fellowship:
- Applicants must hold a master degree (or an equivalent to the Norwegian master degree) in biostatistics or within a relevant field (bioinformatics, epidemiology, public health, medicine, social or natural sciences) with good knowledge of statistics and experience in statistical modelling and use of statistical software. Experience in handling large datasets will be an advantage.
- Applicants must be granted admission to the Faculty’s PhD program
- We seek a candidate with high motivation to work with statistics in medical research and carry out the described project effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
- High working capacity
- Independent, precise and organized working skills
- Good collaborative skills
- Excellent command of written and oral English
