Scholarship details
The Princeton Society of Fellows is inviting all applicants for the 2018-2021 Fellowship competition across various fields, including the humanities, social sciences, and selected natural sciences.
The benefits the programme awards to successful applicants are various, starting from generous post-doctoral fellowships stipends to the tune of $86,000. Overall, three such post-doctoral programmes will be awarded. Fellows are given access to an account with a balance of $5,000 a year, access to university grants, a personal computer and other resources. Successful applicants are expected to live in the vicinity of Princeton for the duration of the academic year.
In considering eligibility requirements, two types of candidates are considered – those who already own a PhD degree at the time of application and so-called ABD (All But Dissertation) candidates at the time of the application. In the case of ABD candidates, they may still apply provided they are expecting to have fulfilled all conditions for the degree by 15 June, 2017.
The application process demands candidates to present a number of related documents, including a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a dissertation abstract, a writing sample of a published article, including a letter of progress for ABD candidates.
All applicants will be updated on the status of their applications by the end of January 2018, with interviews taking place early in February. Everyone interested may apply until 15 September, 2017.
