Scholarship details
The University of Queensland offers a scholarship every year called the Queensland University Academic Scholarship in Australia. The Scholarships is intended for students pursuing their undergraduate and any subsequent postgraduate coursework education at the University.
There are three types of the Queensland University Academic Scholarship to be granted it’s the UQ Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarships, UQ Excellence Scholarships, and UQ Merit Scholarships.
UQ Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarships are granted to outstanding candidates succeeding at the top of the OP1 band or consistent, who aim to undertake a program of study for a coursework degree at the University of Queensland.
UQ Excellence Scholarships are granted to OP 1 candidates who establish outstanding academic, leadership or community service accomplishments during their senior secondary studies.
UQ Merit Scholarships are granted to high academic achievers who also establish significant leadership or community services, commencing the first year of a bachelor’s degree at The University of Queensland
Each scholarship types have a variety of benefits to be given to the prospective candidates
- UQ Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarships: The worth of the scholarship is $12,000 for each year
- UQ Excellence Scholarships: The worth of the scholarship is $6,000 for each year
- UQ Merit Scholarships: The worth of the scholarship is $6,000 for the first year of study only
Opens for all Australian Permanent Residents, New Zealand citizens, or international students who have completed Years 11 and 12 in Australia.
Entries must be submitted no later than October 31st each year.
