As businesses seek to expand their online presence, there is an increase in internet marketing opportunities. This simply means that the industry is becoming ever more competitive. A strong education is therefore a prerequisite if you must be successful in this field.
One of the leaders in internet marketing, Rise, is seeking to encourage students from all backgrounds to pursue their dreams of attaining degree in disciplines such as engineering, math (STEM), science, and technology.
Statistics reveal that from 2017-2027, STEM jobs will grow by as much as 13%.
While the median earnings for U.S. STEM jobs is at $38.85 per hour, the median earnings for all other U.S. fields is just $19.30 per hour.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor statistics also report a significantly higher average wage for STEM jobs ($87,570) as compared to national average wage for Non-STEM jobs which stood at $45,700.
This is the rationale behind the scholarship, which aims to support hard-working students in their goal for better career and future. The winning student of the Rise STEM scholarship will receive an award of $1,000 towards his/her degree. A $250 book scholarship is also awarded to each of the two runners-up.
Eligibility
Interested graduate or undergraduate students are expected to major in a STEM subject and should attend an accredited University or College.
