Brief Description
A person breaking the mold is someone who is breaking with his or her social heritage and is adopting a pattern other than what is expected. Such individuals do not follow the linear pattern of their background. This could be anyone who breaks free from a stressful childhood and then creates a better life for himself or herself, or someone who decides to follow a completely different path compared to the rest of the person’s family. Basically, these are people breaking through any given limitations or set social patterns.
It is the ambition of Lanio.dk to support and encourage young people with unbridled ambition. The foundation seeks to honor tenacity, purposefulness, and an unwavering belief in the future. The scholarship value us 5,000 DKK for any dedicated nordic student who is breaking the mold.
Eligibility
The scholarship is available to students from all nordic countries; Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Greenland, or Faroe Island.
It is not mandatory for you to be studying in any of these countries, this means that Nordic students studying abroad are also eligible for this grant.
Students must be at least 18 years old to be eligible.
Applicants are expected to indicate their acceptance via the consent form which should be sent alongside their application.
The deadline for the application is 31st October 2019 midnight UTC. The winner will be announced latest on the 2nd of December, 2019.
Benefits
Students will be awarded 5000 DKK (699 euro) to be spent however the student deems fit

The subject line should contain “Scholarship Application + “your name”
– Transcript or any similar proof that the applicant is currently enrolled at an accredited educational institution
– Curriculum vitae or resume
– A motivation letter which answers “How are you breaking the mold?” and “why do you think you deserve the scholarship?”
