The applicants can also apply for a one-year Hungarian language preparation course, after which they can pursue their studies in Hungarian. The applicants can also search for the available programs and universities in the online application system here.

How to Apply

The application process for the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme consists of two steps: the online application and the institutional admission. The applicants must complete both steps to be considered for the scholarship. The online application is the first and most crucial step, where the applicants have to register and fill in their personal and academic information, choose up to two programs and universities in Hungary, upload the required documents, and submit their application before the deadline. The online application system can be accessed here.

The applicants can also find the detailed application guide, the checklist of the application documents, the medical certificate form, and the dos and don’ts of the application here. Institutional admission is the second step, where the chosen universities evaluate the applications and conduct interviews with the applicants, if necessary. The universities then decide on the admission of the applicants and inform them about the results. The final decision on the scholarship award is made by the Board of Trustees of TPF, based on the ranking of the applicants and the available scholarship places. The applicants are notified about the outcome of their application by TPF via e-mail.

Countries that can Apply

These agreements also define the number and distribution of scholarship places. The applicants can check the partner countries’ list and the sending partners’ contact details here. The applicants must apply through the responsible authority of their home country, which nominates the candidates for the scholarship.
