Scholarship details
The Swami Dayanad Charitable Education Foundation is offering up to 200 scholarships Merit-Cum Means Scholarships to students pursuing undergraduate degrees in engineering, medical studies or architectural courses. Only Indian students are eligible to apply for the scholarships. The deadline is set for 15 September 2017.
The Swami Dayanard Charitable Education Foundation (SDCEF) is striving to aid the academic development of students who come from low-income families. The scholarship focuses on students who have showed strong academic track-record despite a lack of financial means to do so. There is a quota for women candidates. 30 per cent of all positions are earmarked for female candidates.
The amount of the scholarship varies but it is in the USD400 range. There is however a vast list of eligibility criteria that need to be observed. Candidates applying in Engineering, for example, need to have secured 70% marks in 12th class. Their Grade Point Average should at least be 6.5 in 10 points scale system. In addition, the candidates may not be older than 25 years as of 1 October 2016 for the Academic Session.
